Band

Ein Nomaden-Duo, dessen Ethno-Elektro-Musik ihre Wurzeln in den Ausläufern des Balkans und des Kaukasus schöpft, die sich bis zum westlichsten Punkt Europas ziehen.

Die Band wird oft mit Dead Can Dance verglichen und bietet eine kraftvolle Show mit Virtuosität, Großzügigkeit und Austausch, in der festliche Stimmung und Melancholie miteinander verschmelzen und den Zuschauer in seinem tiefsten Inneren berühren.

Astrakan Project schaffen einen musikalischen Kosmos, der zugleich überraschend und vertraut wirken kann – und laden zum Tanzen ebenso wie zum Dahinschweben ein.

Alte bretonische Musikformen wie Gwerz, Gavotte oder An Dro verschmelzen bei Astrakan Project sehr organisch mit orientalischen Klängen, die keltische Anderswelt schaut im Club vorbei – und auch teils düstere Balladenstoffe werden hier musikalisch so transformiert, dass ein positives Grundgefühl bleibt.

Seit dem Beginn des Projekts in Istanbul, hat Astrakan Projekt in 20 verschiedenen Ländern über 250 Konzerte gegeben und 5 Alben bereits herausgegeben. Zum ersten Mal steht eine Band aus der Bretagne auf der Titelseite einer britischen Zeitschrift : fRoots (Juni 2016).
