Although we extended our stay here in Istanbul, there are still loads of things we would love to do, and places to see, but some of them will have to wait :)

We realise we love Istanbul and Turkey too much not to find a way to come back more regularly. It was easier when we had our base in Northern Greece, and we don't know how but we'll find a way to stay more connected to the places and ambiances that inspire us. 🏙 🚙 .
After all we're in a fantastic place where many things came true, like the 1500 years old church of Agia Sofia, an incredible huge construction that defies time and political changes. And it all started first with an idea ⛪ .

Oh Istanbul we missed you! It took us hours to cross the border, and more hours to get threw the Asian side where we lived and where our friend lifes, but it worths it!

For those who don't know, we lived 5 years in this unique city, and this is where we started Astrakan Project, this was the first stray of inspiration for our music and a lot of the art work that goes with it. This is where I started painting again. .
Many times people will think that we mix up our breton music with oriental instruments and rhythms. And it may sound like an intellectual process, something happening outside. But trust us it's not. It all happens inside. We don't *mix* cultures, we *are* the mix of all these cultures inside.

It's been a long run since those beginnings, and we are very grateful to all that contributed to make our journey as rich and meaningful as it has become. .

Finishing my doodles at the first stop in Serbia 🇷🇸 while enjoying a Serbian Turkish coffee ☕. One of my favorites!
Although in many countries you'll find what is generally referred to as "Turkish coffee", the way to prepare and serve it it varies greatly. In Serbia it tends to be served in larger cups (like a double expresso in Europe), without the sugar that you add afterwards, and it's mild and has some chocolate feeling to it! ☕
In a way it's similar to the way Yann prepares it! .

Trying out some different techniques on this labyrinth symbol that I love with the idea of then integrating it into a larger canvas. Probably one with Elen of the Ways, a Celtic Goddess which cult seems to deep back into neolithic times. 🙏 🍃
It's been a long time since I haven't painted large big goddesses portrait, the sun is out, the school year almost over, it looks like a perfect timing. 🌞🦌🌾 My line work with masking fluid def needs some more practice, but I'm so happy with the layers of colors! 🎨🌟

When the rain stops for half a day, I jump outside with my paint box!
Creating visual art has been a struggle lately. And by lately, well, at least beginning of 2019. It's like I do have time when not working, but knowing that I don't have the luxury of unlimited creative time sort of blocks me from getting into the big, large, intricate and profound pieces that make me happy. The kind of piece that takes time. The kind of piece I need to be immersed into otherwise I feel I loose connection with the piece.
I haven't found yet how to get out of this. I'm trying out with timers. With making a layer at the time. With creating bits on separate pieces of paper that I can then collage together. I'll see where it gets me... What would you try? *
