1st part of our video collaborative project is over!

(en français plus bas)

We’ve had altogether about 50 different wonderful persons sending out their playback for us to consider using in the official video for our Running Up That Hill cover in Breton. That’s huge ! We’ve had plenty of wonderful feedback, also from other folks, and a serious amount of contributions from our international fans! You are amazing really! … And here’s where we’re at, how we’ll select the playbacks and also how we’ll proceed to video editing. With some bonus bits of Kiev in the spring.

Q and A live on facebook 03/05/2020

Hello Astrakanees !

We did a Q&A yesterday on facebook, you can watch it on our YouTube here, but know that since it came from the live version, this version has completely unsynchronized sound ! It’s good on some parts, completely out in some others, it’s a mystery for me why, if you have any advice, feel free to leave a comment 🙂 In any case do something else and just listen, there’s no fancy sequence included ! But rather go to the YouTube channel, I have put in shortcuts (in the description box) to every question (all is in French first, English afterwards).

You folks are amazing !

Coucou,

Also a big huge thank you to those who:

  • Already said they will be in ! Big up to folks in Wales, US & Corwal, but also in England, Mexico…
  • Shared our project, give us lovely feedback !
  • Supported our project by buying digital music last Friday on Bandcamp (you still can, anytime, but if you are planning on doing so, we’ll send you a reminder, on the 3rd of June, Bandcamp won’t charge anything, so that will be a little extra for us 😉 )
  • Supported us by making a donation to http://www.paypal.me/astrakan (you can donate any amount, it makes a huge difference for us!)

  • Ceux qui ont partagé, et envoyé des supers commentaires;
  • Ceux qui ont commandé nos albums en format numérique vendredi dernier. Vous pouvez toujours, mais une fois par mois, en soutient aux artistes, la plateforme nous fait cadeau de sa commission habituelle de 15%, ça fait une différence. On postera un rappel, la prochaine fois c’est le 3 juin;

Where are we at ? About creativity and new projects.

Summer 2019… About failure, sadness and hope.

We filmed a bit in Carnac (a beautiful and magical location in the south of Brittany) where we were some days ago, we wanted to share a bit with you what we are at. If you have a look at our tour schedule, you’ll straight away notice we’re far from being over-booked for next summer, and we thought it would be fair to also share with you what has been going on. Don’t forget to subscribe to our Youtube channel if you haven’t yet ! And leave any comment that could support our moods 🙂

In case you wonder, we’re doing much better, the small tout to Catalunya and Portugal were amazing and like the medicine we needed, but we are still practicing intense self-care, as much as we can. We still have our job contracts running up until early July, but we still manage to squeeze in some creative time.
For me personally, creating and editing videos is a fun way to do something different, and stay creative, which makes me feel much better!

Thanks for reading and following our creative crazy journey, even in darker days *Simone.

Soon on the road again!

It’s been months since we’ve been thinking about what our next big road-trip could be, and it took a lot of energy to make sure we could make it happen, but we’re almost there, last passport should be there on Wednesday, and we’ll be ready to go. Where? To a mysterious magical destination from which we’ll work on plenty of new sounds and songs!

We’ve been quite a lot in Brittany over the last past months, and we really need a change and a boost of fresh air to get back on track and record. This time we aren’t going to have any gig on the way (though, we’re always ready for what shows up!), little health issues over the past year haven’t helped us to organise sustainable tours during the summer. So we thought we would dedicate that time to make some real progress on all what we’ve had on hold since we left Greece by the end of 2015. And it’s gonna be an adventure we’re thrilled to share with you!

Complete guided tour of our new studio on wheels coming soon too!

If you’re on facebook, it might be where we share our daily progress: http://facebook.com/astrakanproject)
