🎵 Flickan GÃ¥r PÃ¥ Golvet SWEDISH FOLK Song ðŸŽ»

We had recorded this song back in 2023, and filmed plenty of sequences while travelling around in Sweden last fall, which was both fitting and inspiring. And then… Breton winter happened!

The longest and darkest winter we ever had in Brittany, long days of rain, and heavy dark grey clouds over our heads had quite an impact on our working and creative flow. When Ciarann tempest hit Brittany, on the day of the Celtic New Year, that was a sign, wasn’t it?

Apart from the difficulty of doing anything outdoors, like filming or taking pictures, we also had to deal with a few issues on our house. Leaks on our roof appeared, mostly due to so many rainy days without the natural stone (slate) being able to dry.

Needless to say, that kept us busy! not in the nicest way.

My (Simone here!) personal health also paid its tribute to these harsh conditions, and time for some warm dry sun was much needed.

That’s how we headed to Portugal for a few weeks, and finally find the energy to finalise this video! We hope you’le enjoy it. And we hope at some point, this song could make its way to an album – yes! We’re still debating on how to make the next album.

Wishing you all a nice spring, enjoy the music, enjoy the sun,

Blessings from sunny Brittany!

Beltan / Beltaine Blessings

In the Breton language, “tan” is the word for “fire”, so it definitely makes more sense to us to spell it that way 😉

En breton, “tan” c’est le feu, c’est pour ça qu’on préfère l’écrire de cette façon 🙂

Sell ouzh ar Stered [ look at the Stars ]

Today is the Celtic celebration of Beltan, and was the perfect day to release our video from our song Sell ouzh ar Stered…

Since the shooting in London, there was a lot of work to bring Simone’s painting to life and create this story, we’re totally over the moon (!) by such a nice adventure! And as any adventure, full of doubts, delay, creativity, team work… We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we did!

Very { wild } live takes + Happy Beltan !

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9oE0DDZwUg

It’s always very cool for us to get videos made from concerts, it’s as if we were at our own concert! This particular video was made in Marseille last month, a very lively and cheerful place, a bit underground too (can you feel the ambiance?). Which actually is a cool combination to listen to our music, at least as far as we can hear!

A fire ambiance that actually is perfect to wish you a very happy Beltan (also spelled Beltain) celebration. Because, yes, tomorrow is May the 1st, and for Celts as in many cultures, Beltan is a Fire and Fertility celebration, a celebration of happiness and joy, also a time to bring new concepts and ideas into the physical world (and yes, our album starts to “unfold”!), and generally speaking a day in which it is easier than usual to communicate with spirits from the Other World, because the veil between our worlds is very thin (the other “big” day like that is November the 1st). Communicate for what you may wonder? Well, maybe to get brilliant ideas, unexpected advices about our major up-coming projects…  So, may your Beltan Day be full of inspiration !
